Prevent Your Flash disk from virus


Flash disk as the device to save the data is easy to be infected by virus. It is because flash disk is able to operate in all kinds computers. The function flash disk to transfer data from one computer to another computer is the biggest reason why flash disk is easy to be infected by virus. In this case flash disk can be said as the media or the way for virus to infect another computer.

Here are the tips to prevent your flash disk from infection of virus. The first step you must take is open your “Registry Editor”  in your computer. You can start it by click Start Menu then chose “Run ” and type on it “regedit”. After you type it, try to find KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer. The next step is you must right-click and chose “new” then you give the name “NoDriveAutoRun” to “DWORD Value”. After you finished it the you must enter the value 67108863. You can enter the value by double click on it then chose “base Decimal”. The last step you must to take is restarting your computer.

The tips about make your computer will not read “autorun” in your flash disk. It will prevent the infection virus automatically. Now your computer and flash disk are save from virus.

Update Antivirus Software in Your Flash Disk


Do you find viruses in your flash disk after you connect it to other computers? Each virus infection in flash disk will create new file with name autorun.inf. How to delete it? Open your windows explorer then open your flash disk. Remove existing autorun.inf.

Create new folder with same name autorun.inf. Open this new folder and make one file in the folder autorun.inf by using right click then select New then Choose Text Document (give title). Next, click start button then choose accessories à tools à character map. In the character map, you should select font Unicode for instance arial-unicode or lucida-unicode. Select 5 fonts then copy them. Rename file text by using these 5 fonts. If the fonts show unknown font like boxes, it is character Unicode. Enter Dos prompt then type +s +h +r g:\autorun.inf. If patch flashdisk in g: so you can type ‘g:’. With this system the virus will confuse because of character Unicode.
